Is it now possible to import gif files? The last post related to importing gifs that I see was in 2018.
.gif files only display a static image when they are imported.
If you have a direct link to one on the internet, you can place that in a WebPage service item and Proclaim will format it to fill the screen and play the animation. Otherwise, if you import it like Mike says, the animation will not be retained.
