WORDsearch

I am a 70-year-old living on my VA pension and I am basically poor. I bought the WORDsearch disc years ago, but I have been burglarized a few times and my computer and software disks were all stolen. I will gladly buy a WORDsearch disc with the basic starter set on it if anyone has one for sale. I need the word processor that it had for making my own presentations. I don't use any programs that require a monthly payment, like Office or word. I really miss WORDsearch. Many people still do. You could make a lot of money if you sold the starter pack for offline use. I really have no use for commentaries or other translations. I prefer the 1769 version that was authorized by Congress to be in our courts.

While 'wishing for horses' you might try 'riding' Logos and Open Office neither of which should cost you any money.

I don't really like LOGOS and never have. I didn't really like WORDsearch much either but It had a word processor that I used almost daily. I really don't want a program that I have to take courses to use. Someone gave me a drop box file that I used but sometimes the enemy attacks me and I get crazy for a while and mess some things up. My King is always faithful to bring me back to reality, but some things get messed up. I get really close to God and the enemy attacks me every time. It has been going on for about the last ten years, Don't worry though, I have a Good Sheperd.

Actually is isn't Wordsearch or LOGOS that is the problem. It's Faithlife. This bunch supports and sells so many heretical commentaries and translations that have nothing to do with what the apostles taught it's unbelievable to me that so many would actually pay so much for them. I use very little of the resources that I have. I mainly use Olive tree now but the only place I can get a 1769 KJV is from The Sword Project. I prefer the 1769 KJV because it wass Authorized by Congress to be in our courts and was the one we swore our oaths on.

William.... I understand your dilemma about books you think "have nothing to do with what the apostles taught". I'm somewhat in the same category with you... And I'll preface what I'm going to say by saying I understand the need for Faithlife to make money....

I have suggested books and resources to Faithlife but alas... my suggestions fall on deaf ears ... mainly because, in my opinion, many of the Faithlife customers are of a religious persuasion that is either Catholic or close to it. And when it comes to voting for what resources Faithlife uses... well, majority seems to win.

Given all that.... then I vote with my pocket book... I, like a lot of people, buy what I think helps me to gain a deeper knowledge of the bible, which means, a lot of books and resources... I don't even consider.

Ah, your obsession with Catholics continues. Statistics show Reformed and Evangelical lead the pack in available resources.

I have suggested books and resources to Faithlife but alas... my suggestions fall on deaf ears .

Suggestions normally take a year or so before we see action - longer if the publisher is new to Logos or if Logos is in the process of a management change.

Totally agree - I never go to Walmart they sell so many flavours of soup that I just don't like.

(actually its because the nearest branch is on another continent but I won't let that spoil the logic)
