Oh no! I can't open L4 at all now. As soon as I open it, the music comes on and the whole program crashes!! What should I do?
Robin,
I had that problem yesterday and received the following response:
Hi David, We shipped some updated lectionary resources today without testing them thoroughly enough, and it turns out they crash the home page. They were pulled after about 10 minutes, but it looks like you got them. I think you should be able to fix the problem by going into the following folder and deleting the listed files: C:\Users\DPhillips\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\z2uxtpip.fug\ResourceManager\Resources\ CATHLECT.logos4 CW1YLECT.logos4 CW3YWSLECT.logos4 LTRSRV1YLECT.logos4 LTRSRV3YLECT.logos4 RCL.logos4 UMRCL.logos4 Sorry for the inconvenience.

You'll have to change the file path, (obviously DPhillips will be RKoshy or something) and the folder after "Data" is a random name I believe, but there is only one folder in that directory. So if you can get to the data directory, open the folder that is there, and keep navigating to the resources folder then delete the resources Bradley lists. That fixed the problem for me immediately.
Let me know if it works or if I was confusing [:)]!
Thanks DPhil! That solved the problem right away!! Thankful for brothers to help in this project! Miss you bro!
Rob
Glad to hear it worked I have some errands to run, but I'll catch up with you later today!
Hi
Followed above instructions but program still crashes on trying to startup.
Any further help available? Thanks,
Gerald
Gerald,
Removing the excerpts.lbsexc file found in this location may allow you to reopen the program: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\[userfolder]\ResourceManager\Resources.
Melissa
Happened to me again and the excerpts file fixed it. Any idea when this will get fixed? It is pretty consistently a problem on my installs.
