I have used the Notes module in Logos for years (off and on) - I was pleased with the very early iterations which were little more than a simple notepad, and have grown fond of later versions which have become more like a full-blown word processor. However, I have a few suggestions to enhance their usability in the future. BTW, I am using the current Logos v. 22.0.23 on a Win11 Pro platform.
1. Note Icon(s): By default, the Note Icon is a gold-colored sheet of paper but many more icon shapes and colors are available. The icon actually is little more than a visual tag but has no descriptor attached to it. The problem is, if I were to select, say, a blue star to denote Textual Criticism notes, would I remember that three years from now? I think not. Why not have a user-defined descriptor that would pop-up when the cursor is hovered over the icon? Additionally, some means of viewing all of the used descriptors would be needed (i.e., a drop-down list, a word cloud, etc.).
2. Note Panel Menu (3 dots): ADD - Move this note (plus Anchor Points) to XXX Notebook. ADD - Copy this note (plus Anchor Points) to XXX Notebook. ADD - Delete this note (plus Anchor Points) from the following Notebooks. ADD - Convert this Note (plus Anchor Points) from Resource specific to Universal [i.e., all versified Resources]. ADD - Convert this Note (plus Anchor Points) from Universal [i.e., all versified Resources] to Resource specific.
3. Anchor Points: Anchor Points are a very helpful addition to the Notes module but they would be enhanced if
a) The original Note Icon (as displayed in the text) would remain the default (or, as-selected), but the Anchor Point Icons (as displayed in the text, ad loc) would automatically be changed to a subdued variation of the original. For example, the original note might be denoted by a bright, gold star whereas the subordinate Anchor Point Icons would be faded, gold stars.
b) In each Note where the Anchor Points are listed, add the corresponding Anchor Point Icon next to the reference. For example, in suggestion 3.a), above, the original note Anchor Point would display a bright, gold star next to the reference, whereas the subordinate Anchor Point(s) would display a faded, gold star next to the reference(s). See below ...

4. ADD - the ability to date/time stamp the text of a Note with a hotkey. Many Windows programs allow this with a ctrl-shift-t, or a ctrl-shift-d, or sometimes, a F5 keystroke.
5. ADD - a pop-up Change Log for each note accessed by, say, a hover-right click. Provide automatic entries such as Created on time/date; Modified on time/date; Anchor Point (ref) added on time/date; Anchor Point (ref) deleted on time/date. Make this Change Log editable/annotatable by the User.
I wouldn't think that these suggestions would be too onerous to incorporate into the Notes module (but, then, what do I know?). And, I hope they are comprehensible as I have written them. I also know that many, if not all of these suggestions, can be accomplished manually by the User - but why not take advantage of the available computing power?
My apologies if these suggestions have been previously asked for, or are already in development.
