Bible Reference / Hover Plus F7

Hi, I was interested in the hover over a reference and hit F7 key to show the reference in your top 5 Bibles. I tried this function but it only brings up 3 versions. Is there a setting that needs to be adjusted to make all 5 top Bibles appear. I have 7 English Bibles listed in my Prioritsed resources. (NKJV, ESV, NASB, KJV, NLT, ASV, GW) The choose preferred Bible has 3 spaces also. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate your help.

I just checked and this brings up the five Bibles I have prioritized. Are your prioritized Bibles at the top of the prioritized list?

Hi Scott,
Thanks for your reply. I have my 5 favourite Bibles at the top of the Prioritised resources. When I do a passage guide study it loads these 5 Bibles as a part of the set up. It just doesn't want to work with the Top five on Bible comparrison using hover and the F7 key.

What size is your monitor and what resolution is it set for? As far as I understand that is part of the equation of how many translations it displays.

Sorry your having difficulty, Steve. I tried to duplicate you prioritized list by adding two to my five. I still get the top five regardless of which ones I have there. You might try removing all you Bibles from the prioritized list and then add them back and see if that clears this up.

Hi Philip
The Monitor is an AWA 22 inch LCD wide screen. The resolution is set to 1280 x 1024 pixels and it is set to 60 hz. The screen is running on 32 bit color. Thanks for your reply.

My screen is only 15" and it is running at 1366 x 768. No problem with this small screen. Very curious, eh?

Sometimes I get 4 and sometimes I get 5 (and this is on my 1280x1024 screen for both). I cannot tell what the difference must be.

I'm always getting five. If I remove one and only have four English Bibles prioritized then the list shows a fifth by going to the first Greek Bible that I have prioritized much further down in the list. By this testing I can't get less than five unless maybe I get all Bibles except just three out of the prioritized list. Hard to figure why we'd get differences like this.

Hi Scott,
I tried removing all the English Bibles and just leaving the Greek Texts in the Prioritzed List. There are at least 5 Greek Texts followed by a couple of Greek English intelinears. The same thing happens. It only shows the first 3 prioritised resources when you hover over a reference and hit the F7 Key. It's all very amusing.

I'm sorry that I can't be of better help for you. Do you have any advanced prioritization set in your list? I don't have any set but I don't know. I'm just grasping, you know. Maybe when the sun rises (I'm EST; UTC-5 hours). someone will solve this mystery. Keep the faith!

Could you possibly do a screen shot with the F7 menu present? If you have Win Vista/7 you have the capability.
From windows help:
Snipping Tool: frequently asked questions
Can I capture a snip of a menu, such as a shortcut
menu or the Start menu?
Yes. Here's how:
Click to open Snipping Tool.
Press Esc, and then open the menu that you want to capture.
Press Ctrl+PrtScn.
Click the arrow next to the New button,
select Free-form Snip, Rectangular
Snip, Window Snip, or Full-screen
Snip from the list, and then select the area of your screen that you want
to capture.

Hi, thanks for the different suggestions to get this working.
I have tried deleting the Prioritised Bibles and reloading them using the drag and drop method and the right click method but they still won't show the 5 top bibles when you hover and hit F7. The funny thing is that it does show 5 resources very now and then. I would say that about one in twenty it shows all 5 and the rest of the time it shows just the top 3. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Interested to hear your comments on this.

The important thing is that you did not rebuild your index[:D]
I get 4 on my laptop & desktop but it's not worth the hassle of trying to get 5 (6 is the magic number with Commentaries). A suggestion to improve its behaviour is the most constructive way to go.
