Faithlife Assistant: Keyboard Shortcut for Microphone?

I have searched for, but have been unable to find, the existence of a keyboard shortcut to toggle the microphone in Faithlife Assistant. Does anyone know? If one needs FA for accessibility purposes, this would be a requirement.

Thanks.

The various keyboard shortcuts related to Faithlife Assistant are listed in the help file in the section on Faithlife Assistant.

Right, and no shortcut to toggle the mic. I guess I was hoping for an Easter Egg or some other undocumented maneuver (they happen), but no. By the way, in Version 23, the Mac (Ventura) shortcut to open FA is Ctrl+Option+D, rather than Ctrl+Spacebar, as stated in the Help file. Interestingly, both shortcuts noted in Help work in Version 23 and Windows (10). Thanks for the quick reply.

Even though FA might not have been intended primarily as an accessibility feature, it could be a handy starting place for the visually impaired, when used along with the various other keyboard shortcuts in books and features. Just need a non-visual way to wake up the mic.

I'm still in the process of getting familiar with macOS and will investigate how Voice Control might cooperate with Logos. I'll also put it up for a vote in Feedback, even though I consider this more an issue of altruism and common sense, and less one of popular demand.

Sorry about that. I didn't read the help text closely enough. On Windows, once your focus is in the Faithlife Assistant panel, you can hit Ctrl+Space again to activate the microphone. I think Mac also uses Ctrl+Space to activate the microphone once in the panel, but I don't have a Mac available at the moment to confirm that.

So, Ctrl+Alt+D or Ctrl+Space on Windows to open (or switch to) Faithlife Assistant, and Ctrl+Space again to activate the microphone. And on Mac, Ctrl+Option+D to open (or switch to) Faithlife Assistant, and Ctrl+Space again to activate the microphone.

I'll report the lack of information (and incorrect information) in the help file so that it can be corrected.

I've just checked on my Mac and Ctrl+Space does as Andrew suggests.

    Splendid! Thanks.

One little detail:  I had to use Ctrl+Command+Space on my Mac. (Ctrl+Space worked on Windows.)

Interesting - Ctrl+Space worked for me on my Intel Macbook Pro running MacOS 13.1 and Logos 23.0

What versions and what device are you using?

iMac (has wireless keyboard) Logos 23. At beginning of all this, I was running OS 13.0 (thought it was set for auto update), but for grins I updated to 13.2.1. But, Ctrl+Command+Space is still my functioning combo.
