I'm hoping that someone can help me to create a slightly more complex search.
Tomorrow in class, we will be discussing pronouns, particularly what Merkle & Plummer call the INTENSIVE USE of the personal pronoun.
Examples they give include:
ὅτι αὐτὸς ὁ κύριος…καταβήσεται ἀπ᾽ οὐρανοῦ (1 Thes 4.16)
This use of the pronoun can also intensify the subjects of the verbs in 1st or 2nd person.
For example: καὶ αὐτοὶ ἅγιοι ἐν πάσῃ ἀναστροφῇ γενήθητε (1 Peter 1.15)--Also you yourselves be holy in all conduct.
I know that I can use the following search in a Morph Search: morph.g:RP????P
In the NA28 that gives me 213 hits.
This was mentioned in a forum post by Rick Brannan a number of years ago
I want to take it up a notch, where I can create a search that will find pronouns used this way in connection with verbs whose subjects are in the 1st and 2nd person, so that the form of the personal pronoun (αὐτός or αὐτοὶ) would be translated intensively as "myself, ourselves, yourself, yourselves".
I would be very thankful for help you could give me.
