Is it possible to save an entire book (like a commentary) as a pdf file? I can only get logos to save about 50 or so pages of the book I want to view on my computer as a pdf.
Thanks for any tips
I have not loaded PDF files in to Logos. But I have been able to convert some PDF files to DOCX files and then save them as PBBs in Logos.
If you convert the PDF file to a DOCX file in can be saved to a PBB within Logos.
Microsoft Word has some capacity to do the conversion. Just open the PDF into word. WARNING not all PDF files will convert!!!!
It depends on whether the PFD has a text layer or is just a series of pictures of text. Then you will need OCR software.
With the PDF open also open word. Can you copy text from the PDF and save in Word?
Doing it that way will take all eternity to get the file into a DOCX file but it sometimes can be done.
OCR - Optical Character Recognition. These are programs that read pictures of text and convert them to editable text.
It sounds more like MVH is asking about opening a Logos book and then print/export it to a pdf file and then use the pdf file on a different computer. The export to pdf file is intentionally limited by Logos to a certain amount of text.
No, for reasons of copyright, the number of pages you can export is limited.
Would it help if you viewed it in Logos in paged view? That's a lot more like viewing things as pdf files. To do this, click on the three-dots menu in the upper right, and select the "1" beside Columns.
Are there other features of viewing things as a pdf file that were the reason you wanted to do this which we could help you get the equivalent of in Logos?
Thanks for this!
Gotcha--thanks!

Before you export, set the font to as small as possible, then in the Export windows switch the paper size to the largest possible. See also this thread for some pointers: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/124007.aspx (just ignore everything after getting the text to Word and save as PDF instead).

That won't increase the amount of text you are able to export before you hit the limit. The limit isn't a number of pages that will fit in PDF. It's either a number of characters or a number of pages or percentage of the original book.
If you don't believe it, why not just try it out...?

Well, from my experience it is a number of pages that will fit - in the resource-selected text size on the selected printer paper size.

I stand corrected.
