Lexham English Septuagint & Eastern Orthodox Bible Collection

I purchased Lexham English Septuagint & Eastern Orthodox Bible Collection, but I’m not sure how to use it. Can anyone explain or point me to a resource or two to learn how to use this collection? I thought it is a resource to allow searching easily the Septuagint and Greek New Testament at the same time, but maybe I misunderstood? I don't see any reference to the collection when I use Logos or search within Logos.

The simplest way is to open both Bibles then do your Bible searches on All Open Bibles. Alternatively, you can create a collection using the Collection tool of the Bibles, and search on that collection.

Brian, I'm not Orthodox, so.

But looking at the collection, it appears to be designed to 'build' an inexpensive 'Orthodox' original-languages Bible, and english Bible.

- You choose which LXX you prefer. Some like Rick's first edition, some his second.

- They provide the choice for both english, and interlinear LXX.

- Then, all you do, is for your preferred LXX, and your Orthodox NT, in each, you assign to a common 'series'. Say, 'Lexham Orthodox English'

- Pair both the 2 english you chose; then the 2 interlinear you chose.

I'm assuming:

- You know how to do 'series'

- I'm not telling what you already know.

After that, when you use your Orthodox NT, the LXX is also linked in for you.

You can add both the LES and the EOB to a series yourself. Go to the information panels for both bibles and edit the series, make sure they match exactly:

I find you then have to close and reopen the bibles for this change to take effect.

Then if you open either of them you can use the verse reference box to navigate between the OT and NT without having to have both bibles open. You can just have one open and put in whatever verse reference you want. See below:

You can also search the series in the search window. Just open the search window and select the series from the dropdown menu:

Then type in your search query and it will search both bibles at once:

If you want the LES to appear first in the search results (canonical order), you have to have the LES prioritized higher than the EOB:NT in your prioritization list. I have the EOB prioritized higher so that one appears first in the search window for me.

FYI, this collection comes with the reverse interlinear tagging for the LES and EOB, not actual separate interlinear bibles. If you want to use and search the original Greek that best corresponds with the LES and the EOB:NT, then you can link the LXX Swete edition to the Patriarchal Text (PATr) in a series just as I've shown you how to link the LES and the EOB. You can also use the LXX Interlinear Swete edition in the same way. There is no interlinear edition of the PATr, it's just the PATr by itself.
