"All Downloaded resources" incorrect count?

I did a brand new install on an Intel Macbook Pro yesterday, and paused indexing while I was downloading resources.

It has now finished downloading and indexing. I have tried the "select all and click download" method. I have tried typing in the "update now" command. Nothing happens.

But the Library screen seems to indicate that something is wrong.

1) The collection "All Downloaded resources" reads 359 when there are supposed to be 1210

2) Some of the resources still have the little progress circle as if they have not downloaded, but the Information pane says "downloaded".

I am new to the mac and Logos (I ran Libronix years ago). Whats going on here?

Running the latest macOS (Ventura 13.5, Intel) and the latest Logos 27.2.21

Ok I found out how to delete the "All downloaded" collection. Now how do I regenerate it? I am re-indexing now, but not sure that will fix things.

The All downloaded resources collection was probably not defined correctly, so deleting it was a good thing! Library will correctly give you that count and you can always choose Downloaded Books in a Books Search.

If you really want to regenerate the collection just type * into the Start with... box in the Collections tool.

I am re-indexing now, but not sure that will fix things.

Correct, re-indexing will only fix Search related problems.

Some of the resources still have the little progress circle as if they have not downloaded, but the Information pane says "downloaded".

They would be animated if they were indicating progress. In Tile view they indicate Reading Progress - the grey ones indicate less than 5%, but you can find the actual percentage on the book's Information page

Ok thanks for your help. The real problem is that I did not understand what was going on.

What I think I know now: the library Filter page shows your (user created) collections under a "Collection" section, and the "All Downloaded resources" was one of them. I know this now because I deleted that collection and it did not come back even after reinstalling. I then went back to my Windows installation and it was gone there also. So it is treated as user data and synced. Is this correct?

What does appear to report correctly under library in both installations is under "Devices". "This Device" appears to report the correct number of resources downloaded, and "Not on This Device" also appears to be correct for each installation.

So the "All downloaded" collection is apparently generated during installation, and then updated when resources get downloaded. But I have no idea how it handles a scenario where you have multiple devices. But you were correct that somehow it was corrupted inaccurate. I believe it was correct in my Windows installation until it synced.

This again was my inexperience with the new software. I mistook the little circle for a download progress indicator. Now I know it is a reading progress indicator. [8-|]

I haven't seen any generated collection, let alone one by that name. So don't be concerned about it and just use your Devices facet in Library.

For now I will just download everything. Maybe someday when I have lots of free time, I can isolate resources that I do not think are useful.

As long as you have the disk space, do that. You can "isolate" resources by selecting a number of them in Library, right-clicking and using "Remove from this device" (they will then appear under Devices > Not on This Device).
