By showing page numbers using the Venn diagram thingy, a mild formatting issue was introduced: the formatting of the ordered list (indent and space after the letter) is lost.

Here's what it should look like:

Here's what it looks like with page numbers enabled:

This is "by design" -- we simply insert the page indicator at the place in the text where the marker exists. It takes room like any other text.

We don't force page indicators to newlines because they often appear in mid-sentence.

Bob, I appreciate the fact that you guys do that and don't do another line for it. What I was pointing out was the formatting was lost when the page indicator is placed inside an ordered list. Generally, the indicator just takes inserts itself as additional text, but does not mess with formatting as it does in this unique instance.

    Jacob,

I think the space between "C." and "At" is just a tab. As additional text is added before "C." the space reserved by the tab shrinks. In this case it just so happens the page indicator eats up just as much space is would be reserved for the tab. If page indicator were a little wider, I am sore, the "At" would jump to the next tab position, thus making the formatting re-appear. You can see the same tab  behaviour in MS Word etc.

Still, I find it just as annoying as you do... I am just not sure what can be done about it.
