SUGGESTION: Ponder: Contemplative Bible Study (3 year series) lectio divina/Ignatian contemplations

Amazon blurb: "Ponder: Contemplative Bible Study accompanies all hearers and preachers of the Word as they pray with and ponder the Sunday readings throughout the liturgical year. Everything needed for a rich experience of lectio divina and biblical exploration is provided: the full text of the Sunday readings, concise commentary, engaging reflections, and clear guidance on how to use this resource alone or with a group. This volume guides readers through the Year A lectionary. "
This is a very practical and welcoming small-group Bible study program that fits very well in most Catholic parishes and most lectionary-based churches. The method behind it would fit nicely in non-lectionary church with sufficient coordination between the group leader and the pastor/preacher.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
