Any way to change Confidence Monitor Backcolor?

Hello,

I've come across a situation where a portion of the primary content will have subsets of text with a different font color(to highlight/bring attention to) on the slides page. This 'highlighting' also carries over to the confidence monitor, and does not appear to be overridable by editing the template colors. Due to our slides background being a light color, the 'highlight' color works well in the slides, but has contrast issues with the black background on the confidence. I tried looking for the following, but to no avail.

1. Modify the confidence monitor template to change the backcolor/add background image
2. Create a new Confidence Template and change font color, then override the template.
3. Creating an Alternate Slides and trying to add Confidence Items (alerts, next slide preview, etc), but that doesn't appear possible.

Anyone know a way to do one of the above or another workaround?

What if you edited the confidence template by clicking "Current Slide Content" and then went to "Effects" and clicked "background shape"? Not ideal (the emphasized text should be corrected automatically) but it might be an okay workaround.
