PC to Mac??

I have found myself in a bind, and I hope you can help me
clear up my situation. I purchased your software this summer and
installed it on my laptop. I am planning on taking a class through my
school strictly on this software. My dad is planning on using my second
use of the software on his computer. This past week my computer
crashed, and I am looking at buying an Apple computer. My only question
about it is will I be able to retrieve my one use I had on my computer
and put it on my Apple? This is my main deciding factor in purchasing
my new computer. The class begins on Monday afternoon. Is there anyway
I could find out the answer this weekend or first thing on Monday. I'm
sorry for my rush, but I am in a bind.

When you say you purchased the software this summer, do you mean Logos 4? If so, you need to go to your account page on the Logos website, click on the Order History tab, select the order when you initially purchased L4, and download the Mac engine. After you install and start, you will need to download and index your resources. I recommend doing so overnight.

If that is with the same license, I believe this use may fall outside your EULA. YOU may use the software on as many computers as you personally use, but no one else can use the same license. The only exception is that a husband and wife are normally considered one for the purpose of this software.

Hi, there is good news and bad news.

First the good news.

This past week my computer crashed, and I am looking at buying an Apple computer. My only question about it is will I be able to retrieve my one use I had on my computer and put it on my Apple?

You can use Logos on PC or Mac. It is licensed to you no matter what platform you use. To install it on a new Mac, simply download the install file and enter your customer ID and password. Logos 4 will recognize your licenses and download your books and personal content.

Now for the not so good news.

There is no "second" person license for Logos Software. It is licensed for one user on as many computers as you use. So if you and your dad are sharing the same account, then it is not within the End User License Agreement for the software. You dad needs to purchase his own copy for his computer.

Have fun and please make sure if you Dad wants to continue enjoy using Logos please encourage him to purchases his own legal copy.

Since you have a school affiliation, don't forget that Apple offers special pricing through its Education Store and also offers financing if you need it. (Go to store.apple.com, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on the link for the Education Store.) I'm a Mac user from the beginning of the Mac in 1984, and I have been using Logos 4 Mac since the early Alphas. I'm sure you will love your new Mac and love the Mac version of Logos 4!

(By the way, if you do get a Mac through the Education Store before September 7th, you get a free iPod Touch... perfect for running Logos for iPod/iPhone/iPad! [Which I also use and love!])

EDIT: Since you need your Mac right away, you can get Education pricing at an Apple retail store... just bring student or staff ID
