Creating new presentation vs. modifying same one each week

I know Proclaim recommends creating a new presentation each week. We are figuring out if it'd be just easier to have one presentation and we just modify that one each week.

The liturgy is essentially the same each week (we are Anglican and follow BCP) - and it'd be a matter of minor changes swapping out songs + Scripture readings + updating 1 announcement slide. We don't see any value in having a record of slides for each Sunday.

What are the drawbacks (if any) of just having one presentation we modify each week vs. creating a new one each week?

In that case, not many drawbacks.

The main reason we suggest that is Proclaim has a "Reuse Items" feature, that essentially allows you to build a library of slides over time from your past presentations. You can then go to Add Item > Reuse Items and easily pull in any item into your current presentation.

If you are deleting/updating items in one presentation, then you won't ever build up that history of items.

However, Songs are stored in their own "Worship Team", so you will have those lyrics regardless. And the Bible is the Bible so you will always have that. And if it's just a few announcements to update, then I don't see it being an issue for you guys.

My church duplicates the service each week and then we update the songs and some slides, but similarly to you, many elements are the same week to week.
