Question About Downloading Resources

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to only download resources that are books? Basically I want to download all resources in the desktop app EXCEPT the videos/audio files for resources (for things like mobile ed). However, I WOULD like to download the transcripts for mobile ed classes.
Is there an easy way to do this? Some type of filter?

Hi Jon,
In Windows and presumably the same for OSX, the audio and videos for the courses are only downloaded as you play them, or when you choose to download them from within the resource. They are downloaded at that point to the YourLogosFolder\Data\<random.id>\WebCache folder, so if space becomes an issue you can just delete the contents in there. Downloading the resource from the library does not download the actual media files, but a Media collection, so you should be safe to just download everything in your library.
If you still wanted to just not download the actual media collections, you can use the library to filter then out prior to downloading everything else. In the library in the search bar you look for * -type:"Media Collection" that will list everything that is not media collections. You can then sort what is left by Title, as to de-group the resources if you had them grouped, and then use Ctrl/Cmd A to select everything else in the library, then right click and choose download.
You may after this just want to check the Media Collections for things that you might want to download, as there are other things in there such as image collections, but it will have some audio and video from other sources such as audiobooks that are not part of courses, bible audio, Verbum Training Video etc, but again, then actual videos will not download until played.
If you just wanted to exclude the Courseware Media Collections, rather than all Media Collections, you can change the above filter to
* -type:"Courseware Media Collection".0 -

Your question lacks some details:
- download during installation? We assume "Yes"
- download to desktop? We assume "Yes".
Basically, you cannot choose what resources are downloaded. If you select a minimal installation, some resources are downloaded and the others appear as "Not on this device" in Library, and you can choose to Download them as Kevin stated above (from the right-click menu). For resources you do not want, you right-click and select "Remove from this device".
In this scenario, no videos/audio files are downloaded. But is this what you had in mind?
