Verbum Edition vs Verbum Edition Group For Pre-Orders On Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture CCS

I see Verbum has the first two volumes of Baker Academic's Old Testament addition to their CCSS on pre-order.  It appears Verbum is going to more or less offer them in a similar timeframe perhaps as when Baker Academic puts the physical volumes out.

So far I see Wisdom of Solomon and Ezekiel for per-order.   But if look at the page https://verbum.com/product/252803/wisdom-of-solomon it has a blue box titled "Enhanced for Verbum" and it lists "Verbum Edition $20.99" alongside "Verbum Edition (Group) $20.99".   Given they are both the same price I can't figure out what the difference is?   Is the Group version somehow tied to the intended full set of yet to be released OT volumes that will eventually complete the entire CCSS?

The difference between the two is licensing - one for permanent personal use and one for reassignable group use. Welcome to the forums.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

  • Thanks.  That makes it clear I want the plain Verbum Edition since I just want a permanent personal use copy.

Is there any way to "subscribe" to essentially find out any time a new volume in the CCSS's new Old Testament series comes out from Verbum?  Clearly BA is just publishing the physical books as they can get them done and FL appears to be set to release the Verbum editions more or less contemporaneously with the print editions.   But I expect this will be a MANY years long process.   I'd like to essentially be notified so I get them as soon as they are available.
