PG Bug in Beta 4 - Repeatable: Hard to Click on Slippery Hotlinks in SermonCentral Section
Description
In the SermonCentral section of PG, after clicking on the 1st instance of "More...", trying to click on links to SermonCentral are slippery. Half the time, clicking on an entry in the list of links doesn't open the link; instead, it rewinds the list back to the beginning.
Repro
- Open Logos 4
- Run PG on whatever passage you're working (I used Psalm 90:12-17)
- Close all sections but Commentaries & SermonCentral.
- In SermonCentral section, click "More..." as many times as necessary to get all SermonCentral entries.
- Try clicking the very last link in SermonCentral. If it works this time, try clicking it it again.
Actual Result
For me, every other time it fails to click the link but instead rewinds the list.
Expected Result
Link opens; list of links does NOT rewind.
Comments
For the last link of the list, finding one's place is easy. But it is NOT easy for each "page" of the list beyond the 1st page, until that last link. This alone has driven me back to Version 3 for real work.
Also, in EACH section of the PG, I'd MUCH prefer an option to "Show ALL entries" rather than having to click "More..." If I'm going to look at each result to decide if I need it, I don't want to have to do the extra clicks to get the entire list.

Bill, I might just use this for another problem with more in PG:
After the first use of more in Collections, it has no effect. But clicking the reference immediately above more allows one new reference to be added!

PG definitely had some impact from B4...
Blessings to you, Dave!

Bill and Dave,
In Beta 5 I'm not able to reproduce either of the problems with PG that you describe. Let us know if B5 doesn't improve this behavior on your systems.
Thanks,

Hi Melissa,
Between downloading & indexing, my L4 B5 has been tied up ALL DAY. No testing, today.... (Now 6:10pm, started around 8am this morning. And I have a reasonably fast notebook--Core 2 Duo, 7200rpm disk, 4Gb RAM + 2Gb flash memory chip for speed-up, & broadband speeds on download. But all that is overcome by 2 downloads (over 1Gb total) & 2 indexes. [:'(]

My problem disappeared in Beta 5 along with the inside scroll bar!
