Adding anchors in Notes

I have recently been adding a lot more anchors in my notes, and am finding the process a little clunky. This is not a major issue, and is very much a first-world problem, so I am not making a big thing of it.

When adding an anchor, I normally select the "Reference" radio button, as I want the note to be marked in all my Bibles. If I type in a reference, I can't just type the reference (even if it is a well-formed reference). I have to type it in, select it from the drop-down using my mouse, and then click on the "Done" button. Having selected it, I then have to move the mouse and click the "done" button. I appreciate I can cursor up and down to select the reference from the list, but there is no way of completing it without using the mouse. If I just press "Return" having typed the reference, it doesn't record anything. This became a frustration on one occasion when I added about eight Scripture anchors to a single note.

I'm thinking of putting out a feedback suggestion to streamline this by enabling the whole process to be completed with the keyboard and without having to use the mouse. :

  • If a reference is correctly formed, accept it and complete the process on pressing Return.
  • Once the reference has been selected, allow the user to press return (as in most other programs) to execute the default button.

ON the same subject, it would be really helpful to me if I could simply paste a list of references into the "Reference" box to add multiple anchors to a single note. Alternatively, it would be helpful if a note automatically added all Bible references in a note as anchors, but I have no doubt there are some who wouldn't want this.

Is this just me, or is it worth creating a Feedback request, and would others find this useful?

Current process is somewhat pedantic, so I would favour submitting a Feedback request.

These are not essential, and there would be unexpected/unwelcome consequences if all bible references were treated as anchors.
