How to read when reading aloud

I am sure it is probably something really easy to do but it baffles me.

So I press for the read aloud and a voice comes on reading the text or book.

So how do I follow along? Can we do that, is this designed for that?

When I start pressing the cursor down in order to follow along with the reader, it starts reading at the beginning of wherever I am in a book, For example, I have it reading at the preface and when trying to scroll down so I can read with the reader...it starts to read text it already read starting at the beginning of the preface.

Hope I did not muddy the explanation too much. Thanks for your help!

Select YES for Show visual cues in Program Settings and let Read Aloud do the rest (incl. scrolling).

    Hi David Emme:

Your post reads to me as if it is related to the Mobile App. You have posted in the Desktop App subforum, which is why Dave Hooton gave an answer related to the Desktop.

If my assumption is correct, and your issue is that the text isn't scrolling to track with the narration:

Let us know the device your are using (Android, iOS, Fire OS), the OS version, and the Logos version you are using. Please let us know the book you are accessing. Also, try the Read Aloud for either the ESV or the Lexham English Bible NT (both of which have human narrators) and see if they behave correctly. It might also be relevant to know if you are connected to the internet or not (I'm not certain if that makes a difference).

Earlier this year, Logos for Fire Tablets had the scrolling problem I think you're describing, but it was resolved during the 1st or 2nd Quarter. The human narrators weren't affected by the issue.

If my assumption isn't correct, sorry 'bout that.
