search for a particular greek construction

I am looking at Philippians 3:12

Οὐχ ὅτι ἤδη ἔλαβον ✕›
SENTENCE bAlternativeἢ ‹✕ ἤδη τετελείωμαι ✕›,

I notice that elabon is an aorist and teteleiomai is a perfect. How would I search for this construction of an aorist tense verb used in close proximity with a perfect tense in order to see the similarity of how they are translated? I have looked at the search tutorials and am still not sure how to do this.

If you just want to see when they are near each other you could do something like this morph.g:VA WITHIN 3 WORDS morph.g:VR

If you need more precision than that, we are probably looking at a syntax search

Hi Jeff.

Here's a syntax search patterned after Php 3:12 that searches for a pair of clauses, separated by a conjunction, where the verb of the first clause is aorist and the verb of the second clause is perfect. I shared the search to the Logos Syntax Searching group on Faithlife.com.

I will look at this. When I looked at the tutorials I didn't quite understand how single out exactly what I was looking for. I guess I am going to have to spend some time here practicing this sort of searching.

I got into the group and found the document. But when I try to duplicate it, I cannot figure out how to edit the clause function1. It will let me add verbal, but not the part of speech nor the tense. At least I do not know how to do that. What am I missing?

the tutorial is quite lacking in specifics as far as helping me with what I am after.

In the properties for the clause function, there is a "Morph" textbox. Just like in the morph search menu, type `@` and then the morph spec (so, @VA for "verb aorist"). In the other clause function, type @VR for verb perfect.
