What happened to Faithlife Connect?

I no longer see any options to subscribe.

https://connect.faithlife.com/pricing redirects to connect.faithlife.com. And the main page for Faithlife Connect no longer has options for subscription.

None of the subscription packages in the store offer an option to subscribe either.

Has Faithlife Connect ended?

It looks like the "rent features and some books" part is in the middle of a rebrand. I get ads for Logos Explore on app.logos.com but it is not on the website and there are no links except to start a trial. I assume it is part of them backing off the Faithlife label to focus on their core products.

I also noticed that Logos 10 no longer offers existing subscribers a steep discount on buying feature sets like we were offered previously.

    I have no inside knowledge.

Since the beta desktop app is messing around with AI, It would seem to me to be a time when FL might be reevaluating subscription services, features, pricing, etc.

I don't see Faithlife Connect has any value anymore. Most people are still in it because probably they forgot to unsubscribe. Most people is perfectly fine without Faithlife Connect anyway.

I would suggest perhaps adding the whole Mobile Ed videos catalog into the Faithlife Connect TV thingy. It just doesn't make sense holding them back when the current culture has all you can eat on videos, especially with high quality contents, and Faithlife has been lacking in this departement in awhile.

Hm. Your mileage may obviously vary, but I beg to differ strongly.

    • I can see one very obvious part of the value of Faithlife Connect (or Verbum Now, which still can be bought) when I look at the dynamic price of the Full Feature Upgrade (over $200 for me - could be more but I bought some features over the years). This is probably the main reason people subscribe to FC and actually increases in value with every new release Logos brings out. People who don't own the Full Feature Upgrade would be strongly impacted in their usage of Logos when the subscription elapses - we actually had such cases in the forums.
    • Another strong point of value - and that is a perk only in FC, not in VN - is the store credit of 2% of last year's buying volume, which just arrived in my email. Each time this topic comes up, forum users confirm that this alone outweighs the subscription cost for them.
    • Yet another is the special discount on Lexham Press titles which can be applied in the Lexham store and comes on top of possible other discounts (again, FC only). I don't use that every month, but when I buy something published by Lexham, especially from the monthly sale list, this gives a nice additional rebate which may accumulate to a sizeable sum over the year. Of course this and the last point bring value to people who actually buy books throughout the year, and that's the idea behind it. I get that. But it's a real, hard, dollar-countable value of FC.
    • The three free public domain books per month (one in VN) is the only thing that for me resembles your remark in the sense that the value decreased over time. But that's to be expected: one takes very interesting books first and over many months all those books are 'bought' and thus the perceived value of the free books is lower. But until one really owns all those thousands of books, there still is some value in it. If FC was only those three books (i.e. in a situation where a user owns the Full Feature Set and doesn't buy any books at all), I'd understand when somebody concludes that there is not enough value for them and they just forgot to unsubscribe. I don't think that's a large subset of  subscribers, let alone a strong majority.

Perhaps for you this is true, but I'm with N.B. on this one. Those of us who adopted early and are grandfathered in with a "no resources" package continue to find a simple value equation. I haven't purchased a "full upgrage" for years, but I have ALL datasets.

I use Connect and like it. It keeps me continually up-to-date with the current version and features of Logos. Perhaps they are changing “Faithlife Connect“ and rebranding it to become “Logos Connect”?

I was told today by an online agent that they have not decided what will happen to existing subscribers when it is time to renew.

The only reason I keep Faithlife Connect is to have the latest version when Logos changes versions every couple of years. I was also told, the next update will paid by subscription. I wonder how much that will cost!!!

    Same here.
Now that we know they are going subscription, who knows what horror moves they'll make next.
It usually doesnt favor us, and I cant see it being beneficial both ways.
Now to see, do I save on my annual rate, and lose some stuff I've never read or used,
    OR
do we actually see a two way street to Beneficial Avenue?
