Version 32.1.31
TLDR; QUESTION AT BOTTOM.
Hey folks, a good while back (maybe a year or so?) when I updated to Logos 10, I recall that it was as quick as a whip. Super fast. Booting up, loading, switching between bibles (with multiple resources to a link set), etc etc. Mind-blowing speeds (so I left a 5-star review for it).
But lately (in the last month or so at least) I have noticed that anytime I try to switch between resources or even between tabs within a window, it back to the old days again: my computer starts getting REALLY loud, and it has to think for 5-8 seconds before it switches between tabs or before a hyperlink click leads to the appropriate resource being opened (or even switched to if it's already opened as a tab in a window somewhere). (the AMD CPU and the GPU and the RAM are all literally the best and newest that money could buy about 13 months ago... as in I'm a game developer with Unreal Engine 5 and literally have the highest-tech components)
In other words, it seems like things have gone back to the way they were before I upgraded from Logos 9 to Logos 10... slow, sluggish, and resource heavy.
QUESTIONS:
Has anyone else noticed this recently?
Or is anyone aware of anything I can do to resolve this and make it lightening fast like it was back when I first upgraded to Logos 10?
Does anyone know which systems/components Logos tends to hod/use, e.g. CPU vs RAM vs GPU? (I'm sure it's prolly not GPU, but I understand that GPU involvement in computation lately has been changing over the last 2 years or so, so just curious).
Could it be hard drive fullness? (It's on an M.2 PCI SSD so should be the fastest "drive" available).
Could it be the fact that I bought the "extra-biblical greek philosophy library with like a billion resources? (prolly not that since they're never opened and I don't use them, shouldn't cause a long loud delay when switching from an RSV tab to a KJV tab... but IDK)
Has anyone noticed a maximum number of open tabs that can be linked to a "link set" (e.g A, B, etc) without it getting sluggish?
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know. Thanks!
