This small, very readable volume was a NYT bestseller and fills a (very small) gap in the Verbum catalog that need only be filled by one or two books: the topic of the Knights of Columbus, which is a huge force in the American Catholic world, so Verbum would do well to get a couple of books here. Because this one is well-read and well-loved, it should be on Verbum's radar. To boot, it likely involves minimal tagging and should have a low production cost, so even if Verbum is quite a few years late to capitalize on this book's market appeal, they'll easily find the few customers they need to fund the book and fill the gap in the catalog.

To clarify the relevance to the Verbum catalog: virtually every parish priest in the United States has regular interactions with a Knights of Columbus chapter and/or its members. They are among the most active male members of U.S. parishes. So if Verbum has parish packages, sells to diocesan priests or permanent deacons, or is interested in relevant content to this huge demographic of U.S. Catholicism, a few volumes on the Knights or on Fr. McGivney would contribute to this goal.

This is a wonderfully written and elegant piece of scholarship. I really like Dr. Doug Brinkley. I have met him personally many times. I voted for this work.
