Logos Max?

Hi Dave, I have L10 with full feature set. I believe I should be eligible for max. I have never received an email. I also would want the discounted annual price. The big issue is not everyone is getting information at the same time.

Hi, Steve.
If you call customer service they can get you taken care of for Max including the annual subscription so you can save a little. That's what I did. I never received a notice but found the page and it was showing higher prices so I called in.

still thinking about this… having been with faith life connect and logos now since the mid 2010s, still hoping I would qualify for the discounted price. if I don’t, correct me if I am wrong, then that means that I would have been better off buying the recent feature set one time than subscribing to Now/Connect for almost a decade… which would mean that subscribing was not better for me as a customer in the long run?
if I don’t qualify for the reduced price, then that would mean I would be better off changing nothing and keep paying for the AI stuff for $10 a month and connect for $100 a year. but I assume that those will end and I would end up being forced to make a move? the AI for $9.99 and the Connect for $99/yr would eventually disappear, and I would be left with 16,000 books but no tools or datasets? meaning I so far have spent $22k on logos, but would be able to do nothing else but read them unless I want to pay for the subscribing (which again I hope would get the reduced price) if I wanted to use any kind of search, data, word study, etc?
Finally, my kids enjoy watching he faith life tv stuff for children. I assume that in the midst of all this that it is going to go away with all of this transition?
thanks for any input, esp from any logos employees

Hi Steven! Thanks for trying out Logos Pro, and I'm thrilled to hear you're interested in switching to Logos Max. We're actively working on a way for users to self-serve this type of switch on the web, but for now, you'll just have to call, email, or chat in to our customer support team and they can take care of you. We're excited to hear how you like Logos Max!

Please give some clarity to the 3 tiers.
1. Under Original Languages, are there books added to Pro and Max or features?
2. Under Study breadth, are there books added to Pro and Max or features?

Is there a plan for an extra / standalone Verbum subscription model? Maybe not in the Tools Section, but regarding the commentaries they could prefer a different selection.
And what about other languages, as e.g. german? This thread doesn’t reveal too much detail about current or coming differences.
There will be equivalent subscriptions for Verbum and for non-English languages, but probably not until the main launch.

But they are not detailed, so nobody knows which tools are in what package. I assume they are all part of the full L10 package already ... ?
Right now, that is true. If you already own the L10 full feature set there are currently no additional features in Max that aren't in Pro. If you don't already own the L10 full feature set, there are significant differences – for example, syntactic databases, dead sea scrolls and other related literature, and more.
Over time, that will change. We will create new features that are only available in Max. But we have not done that yet.

I just tried contacting customer support for an upgrade. Initially, they asked me where I had gotten my information. I directed them to this thread. They then responded and said that I would have to wait until there is a fix on the web site. The only other option I was given was to subscribe at full price.
I really wish that communications were better at Logos. This isn't the first time something like this has happened.

It's not currently possible. We're actively working on it. Hopefully, it will be by the end of this week (or maybe early next week).

So, I was shocked to click on the link someone posted to see that the top level is $350, wow. that is over a hundred dollars more a year for what I have now. I saw one post that said there is a bug and early people like me should see a lower price. I truly hope that I am a bug victim and that the 350 a year is not the special early price
Unfortunately, discounts are not showing up for people already on the subscription, so they're currently seeing the highest possible price. If you qualify for Logos Pro for $9.99, Logos Max should be $12.99 for you.
Tony Walker said:one logos person said there is no difference between pro and max, just the books. but the chart says that the original language feature for pro is intermediate and that max is advanced… what does that mean specifically?
Currently, there are no new features that are exclusive to Max, but there are plenty of existing features that are. New Max-exclusive features will come.

I am not with Logos, but have read in several posts that those subscribing to Faithlife Connect/Logos Now should wait a bit as there should be some discounts and benefits as Logos moves to the three tiered subscription model. My hope is that Logos provides some kind of legacy to those that have been long time subscribers as we move to the new subscription models.
I am waiting for a while until they address this. I do not think we are going to miss out on any beneficial pricing by doing so,
AFAIK the problem only impacts people on the new Logos Pro who want to switch tiers. It should be fixed this week or next. If you only have a Connect subscription, you should see a discounted price.

The above is showing $129,90 annually. What tier is this?
$12.99/month or $129.90/year is the discounted price for Logos Max (discounted for L10 owners and most Connect subscribers).
Steve Shelton said:Why do some have access to the different tiers and others don't have access?
Part of it is that we're rolling out slowly during the early access period. But part of it is also a bug that has meant that existing Logos Pro subscribers aren't seeing the right discounts.

Sorry about that Rick. We will follow up with you about this shortly.

I completely understand. We want to do right by Logos Now/Connect Essentials subscribers who have been loyal over a long period.
I'm sorry we've not been able to make an official announcement by now. We'd hoped to be able to be able to do so, but there are so many different permutations of subscriptions that it's taken us longer than we anticipated.

Is the Logos 10 discount just for the first year or will it last as long as we subscribe?

The L10 track isn't guaranteed to be a fixed percentage discount on the main track. Nor is it guaranteed that it will never rise. Instead, L10 customers will be on a separate subscription track and will stay on that track. Its price will be set independently from the main track.
Let's imagine that the L10 track price is $10/month, and the normal price is $20/month, a 50% discount. (These aren't confirmed prices; they are just illustrative to simplify the math.) It's possible that in a few years' time, that might be $12/month and $22/month, which is a slightly lower discount. But the point is that there are still two tracks.
We're also hoping that people concerned about future price rises will be able to pay for multiple years upfront.

Thanks Mark - As a longer term Logos Now/Connect user, I'm content to wait until the pricing and options are ready and emailed out for consideration before committing to a future arrangement.
One of the nuances in the discussion is that many people seem to have subscribed to Connect and not upgraded with a Full Feature Set as it became available. Over the years I did both in order to ensure that if the subscription ended (or I withdrew), I would always possess fully up to date software.
While some might perhaps see this approach as overspending, it reflects being cautious about subscription arrangements, which I also avoid if possible. My hope is that the eventual final scheme will include options to buy outright. As I'm looking forward to the pre-Tribulation rapture, I will therefore be seeking to avoid long term subscription arrangements. This may not concern everyone, but its a serious factor for me. Keep well Paul

I understand. I did exactly the same. I wanted the benefits of the Logos Now subscription alongside the security of owning the full feature set. We hope the fallback license is something similar to that, at a cheaper price.

Mark, I know that it's been stated that Connect subscribers will be automatically migrated into the Logos Pro level of subscription. If I were to upgrade myself from the Pro early access to the Max at some point before that happened, would I just be rolled from Connect into the Max subscription level?

We're still finalizing the details, but I think that when the migration happens, those with only a Connect subscription will be moved onto Logos Pro (apart from those on the lowest Connect tier). They'll retain any cashback accrued and whatever time remains on their Connect subscription. They'll be able to upgrade to Max at the discounted rate if they choose.
If you subscribe to both Early Access and Connect, it will be a bit more complex for us to migrate. We might have to process them manually. So while the same principles will apply, I'm not yet sure exactly what it will look like, sorry.

I'm willing to deal as follows: I will move my (Dec 19, 2024) Connect subscription to the discounted Max per annum rate ($129.99/yr) immediately to include a $49.95 coupon to spend in the store on whatever strikes my fancy. I think this deal meets all points you cover in the above quoted statement except for it being immediate. In that regard I hope we can compromise in good faith. I also have an (Aug 6) Pro subscription to migrate.Mark Barnes (Logos) said:We're still finalizing the details, but I think that when the migration happens, those with only a Connect subscription will be moved onto Logos Pro (apart from those on the lowest Connect tier). I'm subscribed to the early access pro plan at the monthly rate, as annual wasn't available when I signed up, or at least I don't think it was. So, I think for me, at least, it will be an easy switch. And then I'll switch to Max when all of this officially happens. Thank you, Mark.

Interested. I have been on Logos Pro Early Access since it began. Would like to upgrade to Logos Max, paying at an annual rate (hopefully to save $$). If I do that, is the annual price guaranteed to remain somewhat constant, or does it go up the 2nd year.

The discounted rate for L10 owners is not just a discount for the first year. Both the discounted price and the standard price will be reviewed from time to time, but they will remain distinct.

Hi Mark,
I am a Connect subscriber, I signed up for the Pro early access when it became available, I then upgraded to Max when it became available. I expect if I just wait patiently then at some stage I will be contacted about migrating the Connect perks into the Max subscription, or something like that. Is that correct.

Like many others, I do not care about the books. But I care a lot about original language features. I currently have the Logos 10 full feature set and use original language features more than most other features. I would like to understand exactly what I would be losing if I go with pro instead of max.

My suggestion is stick with what you have right now, be it premium, pro, max, or whatever you’re content with, and then wait until the full thing is announced this fall. From my understanding, the discounted prices will still be there for the subscriptions.

For features alone it would be a better price, though IIRC one of the vague responses we have received is that L10 FFU owners are grandfathered in on some of the "online" features that may or may not be included in the fallback - also a new user can get the Logos Gold for $775 which also includes ownership of over 600 resources included, which they would not receive with the subscription route.
