PLEASE CHANGE: "Insights" Button for Bibles
I used Logos for iPhone at church for the first time today since the new Logos Pro features are added to my account.
The "Insights" indicator/button on a Bible window is too intrusive. There's no way to turn that off or move it. It can only OPEN or CLOSE the Insights window.
On a smaller iPhone screen with two Bible panes, there are two such Insights buttons that I won't be using most of the time.
Can you please:
1) Provide access to the Insights feature some other way; and/or
2) Allow a way to turn off / remove the Insights button for users who don't use it?
Thanks,
PL

The Insights button disappears if either of these are true:
- you tap the screen to close the header and footer (including the menu at the bottom)
- you turn off scrolling mode
I don't know if either of these will help in your scenario

Thanks Graham.
- Insights button disappears when touching screen to hide header/footer, but it comes back when it's back to the other view. I personally find that quite annoying for a feature that I don't think I'll use much.
- I much prefer scrolling view for my Bible windows. Why is Insights not on the paged view? What's the rationale behind that? And in non-scrolling (paged) mode, how would one access Insights?

Understood

I think I remember something being said about this but I'm afraid I don't remember the details!
And in non-scrolling (paged) mode, how would one access Insights?
Double-tap a word to select its verse and then, in the menu below, you will see options for Related Books and Related Passages which takes you to the Insights information.

I fully agree with PL about this.
It feels like the developers just wanted to make sure people saw this, without really thinking about utility. We saw it - you can turn it off now as a pop-up. I think where this belongs is in the double-tap menu, with things like Passage Guide, Factbook, etc. for verses.

Hi Ali,
Since this Insights feature is still in Beta, aren't you actively collecting input and feedback? Why do we have to go through Feedbear? I thought that's only for suggested changes or feature requests for the released product/version?

Insights isn’t in beta - it shipped to the stable channel for those with an early access subscription in Logos 33.0 as per https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_33.0

I noticed that the insight button looks different on the Android phone and the Galaxy Tab.
On the better-screened phone it shows the icon with the title "insight", but on the large-screened tablet it only shows the icon. I think it could be just the icon on both, as it's less intrusive and takes up less space.
What doesn't make sense is that on the smaller screen of the phone it's the icon and title (taking up a lot of space) and on the larger screen of the tablet it's just the icon (taking up less space on a very large screen).____________

Titles paired with icons is frequently an accessibility item.

I really believed that insights would get less bothersome over time. But, unfortunately, the opposite is occurring for me, yes in mobile, but also in desktop. Sure, I'll vote, but it does feel odd. I feel like Logos overstepped a bit with this feature, and the request to dial it back a little shouldn't have to get buried in feedbear. It's too intrusive.

Only if we can get them to listen and reconsider...

We're listening and appreciate all of your feedback. We've been in talks about this, but haven't made any decisions to change it yet.

I've just added my vote. [Y]
For your team's consideration, Ali:
I made some similar comments to PL when this feature was in beta. It hasn't bothered me since it went from beta to production, since I'm not a Logos subscription user. YET. But in spite of originally thinking I would NOT sign up for a Logos subscription, you guys have since won me over. Well, MOSTLY. I would LIKE to get a 2-year subscription in the coming months. But one of the most significant issues that gives me pause is this 'feature' that, in my experience, significantly impaired my Logos mobile experience. And since I'm basically a Logos-mobile-only user, this is, well, a deal breaker for me. It's THAT intrusive, in a bad way, for me, sorry. Naturally, I'm in no hurry to pay more to break my existing experience.
So, I'll keep an eye on this issue, with interest.

I agree on the insights on mobile, I have also asked support when in beta if it could change, and the answer was, cant say what the future is for insight. if they could have made it in button form on the top tight like on web app it would have been better I think.
