I just received the same warning installing RC2. I'm wondering if it has something to do with me already having an ICON pinned to the taskbar? But I'm' not sure how to test it.

You might trying to see if the shortcut is set to READ ONLY and uncheck that option if it is... Moving the shortcut might be a good test too on next build...
I would think this is because you did a clean install with a newer version than most of us... Perhaps a group of us should try clean installs and test again now that we are in RC stage?

That's a good point John.
As soon as my Win7 disk arrives I plan on wiping my system for a really clean install - I'll test it then for certain.

Just finishing up with my Win7 64 clean install / rebuild and I did not see any 1946 warning. BTW,it was the fastest Windows installation I have ever done on a computer - 10 minutes. I definitely do not miss the Windows-3.1-on-43-bazillion-floppy-disks days! L4 reloaded and was up and running very quick and very clean.

Thomas, did you get the second 1946 warning after doing a clean install? If you had uninstalled Logos 4, could it be that the shortcut was not removed by the uninstall, perhaps because you had modified it somehow?
I'm thinking that if you uninstalled Logos 4, maybe Windows Installer didn't remove the shortcut from the task bar because you had changed it somehow (maybe pinning it manually). If that's the case, maybe Windows Installer didn't want to delete your changes. Then when you reinstalled, it gave the warning because it found the existing shortcut and didn't want to modify it.
So, after you uninstall but before you reinstall, could you check for the presence of the shortcut on the task bar? That would be some useful information.
Thanks!
Bryan

Bryan,
The second warning was on a "dirty" install, an upgrade install that is.I had manually pinned the shortcut sometime after b6 I think.
After I get my sermons done today <grin> I'll try a clean install and let you know what happens.

Bryan,
After wiping my system and doing a clean install - all was good. I'm certain the issue was because I left the icon pinned to the task bar.
