UI Design problem: Tapping on hyperlinks isn't working correctly

The UI experience in the mobile app when you are trying to look at a lot of Bible verses in a commentary or other book is currently very unsatisfying. I've noticed the following problems:

If I tap on a hyperlink to a Bible verse, the pop-up with the verse opens correctly. However, if I then tap on another verse, hoping to open it's pop-up, the 2nd pop-up doesn't appear. Instead, the old pop-up just disappears, but stays selected in the text. If I then tap for a 2nd time on the 2nd hyperlink I wanted to open, it finally opens in the pop-up. However, the Word Study pane also opens up, which I didn't ask for, as if I had long-pressed on a word. This incorrect behaviour may be related to the fact that the text stays selected of the first hyperlink you tap on after the pop-up is closed.

DESIRED BEHAVIOUR 1: When a pop-up verse is open, if I tap on a 2nd verse in the main text, simply close the first pop-up, and open up the 2nd pop-up, without opening up a Word study pane.

DESIRED BEHAVIOUR 2: When a pop-up verse is open, and I tap on the main text but not on a hyperlink, simply close the pop-up, and unselect the hyperlink text. In fact, as far as I can tell there is no need to select the hyperlink text in the first place when someone taps on a link. Regardless, unselecting the text is important, as the app then acts differently if texft is selected, and the user simply tapped on a hyperlink, they didn't long press to select text.

FWIW, this is on the latest version of the Android app. I haven't tested this on the iOS app.

There seems to be an issue on Android, but not iOS. I'll get a case written up to fix it. Thanks for reporting.
