I'm reading the editor's introduction to Bonhoeffer's "Discipleship," which is volume 4 of the 17 volumes in the series titled Dietrich Bonhoeffer Works in Logos, and I'm reading lots of cross-references to DBW (the German edition, which I don't have) and DBWE (known in Logos as "Dietrich Bonhoeffer Works").  All the references to DBWE (which are also in the main work) are by volume number.  I have the series showing in a library search, but I have to hover over each volume in turn until I find the volume I'm looking for from a reference in what I'm reading - as all the references to DBWE are by volume number, but the titles in Logos don't include volume numbers.  So if the volume titled "Discipleship" were instead titled "Dietrich Bonhoeffer Works 4: Discipleship," and the other 16 volumes were titled similarly with their volume numbers, (a) the volumes would sort nicely in a search, and (b) it would be much easier to find a volume by its number.

This set is clearly the product of an incredibly huge, academically rigorous, exercise undertaken by a large team of academics, and I'm thrilled to own it in Logos.  Titles by volume number would make navigating through the set so much easier!

For examples of what this looks like in other series in Logos, see WBC, The Harvard Classics, Early Church Fathers (either edition), Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture, and many others.
