I can't paste from a Word document into a Sermon Document on Mac

This is with Logos 38.0 beta 2 on Mac.

When I copy some text in a Word document and try to paste it into a sermon document, no text appears.

It does create a slide - and, if I paste in a lot of text it seems to take a long time generating the slide as though all of the text is being put into the slide. But if I try and edit the slide afterwards, I don't see any text in the Media tool.
