I am surprised this hasn't been available already. This is one I would definitely purchase. I continue to be amazed that this most important set has not be made available on Logos. Is it a legal issue? Anyone who knows Lloyd-Jones knows the immense value of this set.
  • Please add the Romans series by D Martyn Lloyd-Jones.

I am also surprised these are not available. I am guessing it’s an issue with the publisher?
  • Hi Faithlife, any thoughts on when this series will be available on Logos? I'm very interested in it, and it is the 3rd most voted for series at the writing of this message.

While I own the 14 volume set, published by The Banner of Truth Trust, I would gladly repurchase the set in electronic form from Logos at pretty much any reasonable price. I hope that whatever copyright and legal disagreements that have been preventing Faithlife from publishing the set may be amicably resolved soon.

The Lloyd-Jones Romans series is a classic.  Why has it not been made available on Logos?

@Whyndell Grizzard  I agree.  I first made request for this set a little over 20 years ago

question? why are we doing this if there is no response. Saw comments that this request has been made for 20 years! Can someone from Logos give us some type of information?

yes but so far nothing nor has there been any comments from Logos or Faithlife.
  • This is discouraging, not having any kind of reply from Logos on the 2nd most requested product for months, if not years!
  • Agree!

Would like this too.  The print books take up a lot of space on my shelves, and i'd like to get it into Logos instead!

  • @Emory Horvath  Have the printed books been very helpful to you? I've wanted to read through this commentary for quite a few years.
  • How long does it generally take to have a request reviewed, approved, and published? This particular word is 3rd on the list when it comes to the most votes.
  • Hi Logos, the Lloyd-Jones Romans set is the most-voted for book request, with the exception of "Books by Robert Alter". I want to make a wise decision as to how I purchase this series. It would be very helpful in my sanctification, as Martyn Lloyd-Jones lays out Romans in a way that I find easy to follow, thorough, and faithful to the interpretation of Scripture.
I've opted to have all of my books on Logos, but this is a series that hasn't come to Logos yet. Some people in the comments says they've been waiting for years for it to come to the platform.
The conundrum that I face is whether to purchase the hard copy of the set from somewhere else and use that one for my studies, or whether to wait patiently for Logos to release the volumes. The problem is I don't know if Logos will ever produce this work? I'm in dark concerning where everything is at regarding this work, and would regret purchasing the volumes, spending about a week or two marking in the books, and then Logos releases the set.
I'm sure there are balances that must be considered in the background to ensure Logos stays afloat, but can any light be shed on whether this series is being considered for production? Some users have been waiting for two years. I've been waiting for one year.
Is there any way to at least get an acknowledgement that this work is being planned for this year (2023) sometime?

[Monetarily speaking, even charging MSRP of $370 (source: Banneroftruth.org) for the series with a demand of 105 users/voters would mean a $38,850 top line for Faithlife]
  • Please add the Romans series by D Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
  • I wrote Banner of Truth asking if they would be open to this, but I never heard back.
