Is the sermon build unsupported in the mobile app for Android? Would really like to have access to this feature.

When will it be possible to edit a sermon that I'm working on an android device. I know it's already possible with apple devices. It would make so much nicer to edit from my tablet.

This would be fantastic! I love to go over my lessons just before I present, and being able to make quick changes on the fly would be extremely valuable.
  • This would be very helpful
  • Yes, please bring this to android! I would love to be able to edit sermons on my android tablet.

I write my sermons in Logos 9, but I often need to make last minute changes to my sermons which is difficult to do because I do not preach from my laptop, but from my Android tablet (less obtrusive). I would love the ability to edit my sermons in the mobile app!
  • I would really love to see this: even if it had to be a separate downloadable app. The fact that I cannot make edits to a sermon document on my phone is pretty frustrating for me. I'm a bi-vocational pastor and am on the move the lot. If I create my sermons using Google Docs, Office, Evernote, or pretty much any other text editor, I can do it on my phone as well. I just really don't understand why this isn't already a feature.
  • Agree, if this can be done on the Apple devices, it would be nice to have it on Android as well.
  • @Chris Hilling  I really miss sermon builder on my Android Tablet, especially in our summer camp with no electricity but from solar panels. I'd love to have.

We need to be able to create sermons on Fire Tablets or any tablet for that matter. This should be a no-brainer.

This should be able to be accomplished through the app and not just the browser.
  • We need this feature on Android - Android needs to have the same functionality as the iOS across the board!

Sermon Editing is my priority. Thank you.
  • This feature need to be added to Android - It is the biggest weekness in the sermon editor. I was hoping Logos 10 would fix that , but it didn't!

Wish I can work on my sermon on the go, without needing to bring my laptop around all the time. Please make it happen.

    * Please, please add this functionality! *

I use an Android phone and tablet; many people do not want to buy into the Apple ecosystem.

As of now, I write sermons and small group documents in a Logos "note", then copy/paste into Sermon Manager on my Windows laptop (yes, not Apple). I have also used the browser-based app, but it tends to be less user friendly.

I understand Faithlife is a for-profit company, and thus ultimately driven by those priorities. However, consider market share: while iOS is the dominant platform in the US (57% iOS vs 42% Android, January 2023), Android is much more widely used worldwide (72% Android vs 28% iOS, January 2023).

Thus, from a business perspective, build out the functionality on the Android platform to position the company to gain user, market share, and ultimately profit from a (much larger) global audience.  😀
  • For being on the go, it would be greatly appreciated if this would be available for Android.

  • I don't know why this isn't available yet on Android despite all the updates. This would help a lot on my tablet!

Logos version 10 and still no love shown for android. I think the logos developers have it out for us, or they just assume everyone uses apple devices.
  • I really miss the opportunity to work on my sermons on Android, too. Sometimes my tablet is all I have---with limited access to Internet. Please, implement it in Android.
  • Please make this avaliable on android!
  • Would LOVE this! Would allow me to leave my laptop at the office, but make last minute edits before preaching from my tablet.

Please bring the Sermon Manager to Android tablets and phones. I often want to view my upcoming preaching schedule but I can't unless I'm on my desktop. It would be very helpful to be able to check it from my phone, even if it was just view-only.
  • I would love android editability since I use my Boox Tab Ultra a lot. It would also be nice to be able to edit on iPhone for when I’m super on the go. Please make these updates soon!
  • Yes, this is needed.

The ability to both create and edit sermons in the sermon manager. This would eliminate having to do so on the PC and it could be completed right in the mobile app. This is so urgent and would help a large base of your users.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@Pastor Julius A. Renwick , M.Div.  This is available on iPad in Logos 10 Silver packages and above. Would you like this request to be for phone and/or Android devices? It is currently not available for iPhone, Android phone and Android tablets.

Ali Pope | Logos Desktop and Mobile Program Manager

  • @Ali Pope  Yes, for us Android users we would love that.  For so long we Android users have paid the premium price of logos, however in comparison to the ipad in L10 platform we are left behind on many of the features.  Please try and catch us up on all features, we who are using L10 on Android Tablets are feeling like stepchildren.  Thank you.
  • As a logos 10 user and subscriber this is a top feature I would like to see. As others have alluded to, at the moment why are Android users paying the same fee for less functionality? Is there any chance of an update on this thread? It's 2 years old but with comments even this week it seems like a live request, is it something you're looking into?
  • Hey! I'm no longer using Sermon Builder for sermon writing. I'm happy with MS OneNote on my phone, tablet, and PC for sermon writing.
  • Please make this feature available on iPhone as well as Android.
Don't let your mobile app features become platform-dependent!

I have reached out to Logos on the playstore and they say they're working on a mobile version but, to add my desire as well, please add the mobile feature soon. Obviously this is a fairly dated issue and is currently relatvant to consumers. Having totally switched from the Apple ecosystem to Samsung, and someone who does all my work from my Tab s8 Ultra, I find it unreasonable to be lacking a feature that an Ipad Pro had, when both devices are either equivalent in performance or my Tab slighly above. I have signed up for the beta testing on the playstore, so at the very least, please add it there so we can see that you're working on it.

Can we please finally have the sermon builder feature brought over to Android? I work from a Tab s8 Ultra and find it frustrating that I could do it on an ipad pro but not my Samsung tablet. I know the feature has been requested for quite some time.
  • I don't understand why this doesn't already exist for Android, considering Apple has had it for quite some time.

Para nosotros que no tenemos PC o iPad pro, es frustrante no poder escribir sermones en tablet Android.
Cómo usuario y clientes solicitamos esa función en Android.

Yes, this is quite frustrating. I preach from my Chromebook and even my phone. Sometimes I need to edit the sermon during that last runthrough. It's quite frustrating to have to log back into the desktop app (if I have my laptop with me) to edit.
  • Irritating to see that it takes so long.

Please provide this essential feature, as android users pay the same!

@Ian Kirk  agreed. Unfortunately it seems that Logos is becoming an ecosystem type app...that is catering to ios. I hope this isn't the case but it seems to be going that way.
  • Yes, this needs to be a thing. I was unpleasantly surprised when I couldn't edit my sermon on my Samsung Tab.

Please, please, please make this happen. I use Sermon Builder/Manager on my laptop. However, I don't always have my laptop available when I get a sermon idea. Being able to work from tablet or phone would be a Godsend.

Why still no ability to edit sermons in mobile app.
Many Logos users use foldable phones with bigger screens but can't edit sermons?
You can charge users for adding this option.
  • I must admit i was quite unpleasantly surprised when i found out that the sermon management and editing wasn't available in android. I guess all the videos i had seen were on Ipad's but i assumed most of the features on the mobile app would be the same across platforms. This seems like a major oversight.

Yes for sermon editor as I use logos on foldable android phone much more than PC or surface. I am willing to pay a lot for this option. Should have been offered long time ago
  • No idea why this is not yet implemented? The lack of ability to edit sermons on an android is the single reason I've not upgraded my Logos package

Bring the "Sermon Builder"/"Homily Builder" tool to the Android and iOS app so that we can write and edit sermons on tablets and cell phones.

I really miss being able to edit a sermon on the mobile and tablet app. It's a fundamental function that hasn't yet come to mobile apps.
