Please add to this series. Example: Parks, Jessica, ed. Martin Luther: A Guide to His Life and Writings. Faithlife Author Guides. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2017.

A good source of potential individuals is McKim, Donald K., ed. Dictionary of Major Biblical Interpreters. Downers Grove, IL; Nottingham, England: InterVarsity Press, 2007. if you balance them across time.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I hadn't seen that resource (https://www.logos.com/product/6063/dictionary-of-major-biblical-interpreters) but it looks very helpful: thanks for passing along the suggestion!

FYI I'm eager to do more of these if we can find the effort.
  • a useful addition.

Author guides in Augustine, Aquinas, Anselm, and Hans urs von Balthasar would go a long way. (Plus maybe help encourage FL publisher relations to finish contracting all of their works!)
