Unique Presentation Names

Sometimes we somehow get duplicate version/s of a Presentation. And we can't tell which is the most recent. I would like to request that Proclaim does not ALLOW duplicate presentation names. Require the copy to have something to make it unique. It would be great if the copy ends up with a suffix of 1 or the word copy or something like that, automatically. (Like Excel does).

    This is a great idea. We also end up with duplicates by mistake, and usually we don't realize it until it's too late and the two presentations have diverged. Then we have to go through the tedious process of identifying the recent changes and reapplying them all to a single presentation.

    When a presentation is duplicated (which we do every week), we immediately change the name of the presentation so there is no longer a duplicate with the same name. Seems a very easy way to avoid that issue.

    I agree with this feature request.  While we immediately change the name of the presentation each week, there have been a couple of times when the editor gets pulled away, or otherwise distracted, and the name remans the same.  Thank you for your excellent product and support!

    Many times it happens without anyone realizing it.  One time it must have been me, but I was not trying to save with a new name.

    Three years later and we still have this problem. The staff that creates our presentations has changed several times. Each change brings this problem up again.
