Auto Translate: Remove the vertical sideline

I love the new translation function. However, it draws a line left to the selected text and rearranges the text. This makes the textdisplay unnecessarily restless. And it uses precious space. The line is also not necessary, because the text is already highlighted. Sometimes it flips back and forth so you can't even get the right text selected to be translated. So please, remove this unnecessary vertical line.

Or makes them a little narrower0

Thanks for your feedback. It seems like we should hide the vertical bar when you're translating selected text, and only show it when you're translating the whole paragraph without selecting.0

That might be a good solution.
The vertical bar would not be a problem if it is so narrow that the text is not rearranged. It's the new alignment of the text that causes al the unrest and problems.
(By the way, this is also the reason that I never use vertical lines in the highlight tool.)0 -
I agree with you. The translator is a very good function, but it still needs some polishing to be perfect in terms of the tool (not the translation, obviously).
See and vote for this other useful suggestion:

In v22, we removed the vertical sideline when selecting text for translation. We've kept it in place where translation takes place without an explicit selection.0

Thanks for this improvement!0

For me, it didn't improve the behavior of the auto-translation tool at all. For both paragraph and selected text, the behavior should be the same without causing indentation in the text on the left.
