Anyway we can have different preferences? Deborah Hatch
Not that I know of. But you can make your own custom guides and layouts with which to do your Bible study,
Deborah;
You may not be aware, but the Logos license is wedded to a single person--it isn't like a paper book. Therefore, Logos probably won't address your suggestion. However, they also attempt to be understanding...you can read up on the situation at: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/341/3265.aspx#3265
Excerpt from the above link by Bob Pritchett, the Logos"What about my spouse? What about my child?
Well, now it depends. Are you and your spouse "one user"? I know lots of people who have a single email address like JoeAndMary@somemail.com. They have one computer, one email address, one copy of Windows, (one car? one cell phone?) etc. To me, they're "one user." Same thing when little Joey uses the family computer."
From my take, Logos does allow for a wedded couple to use one licence, provided they live as a wedded couple
no notes and documents will be shared.. as it is tied to the logos email there is no way I know of around this,
"and the two shall become one."
...and they never have any differences of preferences [;)]
... unless one chooses to run the Beta (?),
Great point, David.
Actually this is not the case. Bob mentioned an actual case where a couple were each ordained and serving different churches. He would consider that two users, not one. So you need to carefully read Bob's post and determine if you are from Logos' point of view 'one user' on two computers. Logos is generous about this but wants us to understand where it sees limits to the generosity principle.
Each spouse can purchase their own Logos library (associated with their own email address). On a computer (PC or Mac), can use different user accounts to keep Logos 4 Libraries and associated preferences distinct (along with other stuff - desktop background, theme colors, etc).
With upcoming Logos 4 Mac stable release on 1 Oct 2010, currently good time to purchase Logos 4 package or upgrade (up to 20 % discount) => http://www.logos.com/mac
Thankful Logos allows a library user to use Logos 4 resources on variety of devices: iPad, iPhone, Mac, and/or PC.
Keep Smiling [:)]
