Reading vs Reference on Resources

The method Logos uses to keep track of a reading location in resources does not always work effectively across the different platforms, is challenging given that users may be reading a resource or referencing a resource, and is far from intuitive for casual Logos users. See the forums for the last decade for especially new user complaints on how reading is managed in Logos.

My suggestion for improvement is to add a Reading Queue function in Logos. Users add books and resources they want to read cover-to-cover to this queue. For these books specifically, Logos should save to the Logos servers as the user changes page to page in the book. This would replace hoping that the reading location syncs at the end of the iOS session or having to remember to update the layout and/or shortcut. When one of the books in the Reading Queue is opened, Logos should provide a prompt to the user of the last 3 date, time, device, page number, and TOC item read in any previous connected session across all devices or local session from the current device and ask users to which location they want to begin reading. This prompt would not be shown users for resources not in the Reading Queue.

This would be nice. But myself and some other have been beating the "bookmark" drum for some time and it has fallen on deaf ears. 1. I don't think Logos reads these comments. 2. If they do they have some sort of hatered towards the idea. 3. They don't care what we want if it isn't what they want. And yes I'm using strong language in order to provoke some sort of response from Logos––nothing yet!

I agree. I use the note function to create bookmarks but this workaround is a kludge.
