Voted. The gaps are not only ugly, they are significant speed bumps to readability. The eye and brain have to constantly make adjustments - especially my old eyes and brain. I think this limitation is Logos developers' worst decision. It has been a while since I've use the Android app because of this but I recall that popups were left justified - so how difficult can this be?
I believe that the Program Settings option Justify Book Text does this - just set it to no. You can find the Program Setting in the application menu - the three dots near the end of the toolbar.
