Layouts: Sync layouts across mobile devices

I've been finding the layouts really useful on my mobile phone (Android) recently, but find it more challenging now to switch to my iPad as what I've saved as my layout on my phone is not available on the iPad without manually adjusting that too. I'd be great if mobile layouts were included in the sync so I could close the layout on my phone and later reopen it on my iPad (and vice versa)

This would be cool but since the tablet allows three or four panes per window, I don’t know how you’d nicely translate that to the two that the phone allows. 
Otoh, going the opposite direction, from phone to tablet, one could merge pairs of dual panes into four-pane windows.
