Highlights: Simplify the highlighting process

It would be great to be able to tap and drag to easily select and highlight text in one motion. The Kindle Android app has this feature and I use it a lot.

I'm wondering if there would be some consideration to changing how text is selected for highlights and notes. It seems clunky in that if I've already highlighted a passage, that when I go to delete it, I have to select the exact area again.
If you add familiar with how kindle highlights/notes work, I would love it if you could have Logos function in that similar, simple manner.1 -
The current implementation of highlighting on Android is frustrating experience. Rather than surfacing choice, as the windows app does, it hides it behind numerous presses, drawing out what should be an intuitive process.
Currently, you can press and drag your finger which will immediately highlight the text with your last highlight colour. If you want to switch colours you need to highlight a single word, then drag the markers to select the full text. Then, the tooltip menu appears, you have to click highlight which brings you to a full highlight menu, away from the text. Finally, you select the new colour from the most recent list or full options and then can get back to reading. I have not been able to find a way to remove highlight on mobile.
Suggested behavior:
Press and select text with finger, which then brings up the tooltip menu which includes the last 3-5 highlight colours. Select from there and continue reading. For removal of the highlight, a simple x button in the highlight section, similar to the windows app would suffice.
Outside of basic reading, the mobile app is quite clunky currently.1
