This can help you discover relationships to concepts you might not have guessed from the passage in question: for example, what's the connection between John 3:3-7 and Justin Martyr? (you'll have to own Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary to find out)
I was interested to see what that passage would reveal from my resources but disappointed to find that Tyndale Bible Dictionary was not included in List topics like
- Amen (2 x Topical Index were preferred)
- Birth, new (unique to TBD)
- Jesus christ, teachings of (unique to TBD)
- Kingdom of God (2 x Topical bibles preferred)
- Life (Topical Index preferred)
- etc.
The content of TBD is more meaningful than a reference in a Topical Bible/Index!
Dave: i completed agree that dictionary content is typically more useful than topical Bible content (those tools are also useful, but they're more like indexes). The Topics section of the Passage Guide mixes together topical Bibles with LCV-organized content. We're working on cleaning that up, but it's not all the way there yet, and in the meantime we're showing more rather than taking things away.
"Kingdom of God" and "Kingdom of Heaven" should probably be merged here: i'll investigate further. Things like "Jesus Christ, Teachings Of" come specifically from the topical Bibles (the "X, Y of" format is a giveaway): "Life and Teaching of Jesus Christ" is the corresponding LCV concept, and it has a couple of associated dictionary content (not Tyndale, however).
We're working on better ways to get from one concept to a related but distinct one: if you do a search for New Life, for example, you'll see Regeneration as an alternate concept. The Passage Guide attempts to filter, select, and weight the results: that's hard to do right in every case.

"Birth, new" should probably be associated with LCV Birth as Born Again & Regeneration have content from TBD.

Funny, E4 setup it's own control language Logos for topics in 1995 and suggested each book of any type be indexed by a human with this. We were flatly denied as an unnecessary expense. I always thought it was the best part of logos, but it became a contention
