In my experience, I rarely use several useful features in Logos/Verbum because of the disruption it takes to get to them. I would like to suggest a new Bible browser with a selection panel on the left from which we can turn views on/off with a click and which manages that the requested views are compatible. The filter is automatically adjusted to translation and passage ... and limited to passage for performance reasons. What would be available?

1. Current Resource Visual Filters with a one sentence per line and a one clause per line added, addressee/speaker under a single heading (community tagging and corresponding options are less critical)

2. Current Visual Filters

3. New visual filters for case frames, grammatical roles, semantic roles, related words (derivational, synonym, antonym, hypernym, hyponym, ...), multi-word lexical units (idioms, etc.)

4. Existing views integrated in: parallel passages (harmonies), compare text, NT used of OT (source/target columns)

5, New views: parallel pericopes (Robert M. Warren's PBB from NRSV), paired pericopes (drawn from lectionaries - passages often read together), alternative pericope divisions, alternative outlines

6. Consider much of the Bible Browser selections as possible visual filters so that one can see theophanies, miracles, sacrifices, commandments of the law, parables etc. that are in the passage

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
