Line/Point Spacing

Hello. When I make slides with points on them, sometimes the point is two lines. When using the line spacing editor, you can see how it spaces every line equally apart by the setting (see attached photos).
I understand that is the purpose of that feature, but I have been unable to find (thus prompting my suggestion) a feature that allows you to control the spacing between the points, while retaining your desired line spacing setting.
My attached photo has a red line showing what I'm talking about, and the area I would like the line spacing to retain while keep the points slightly separated. As you can see from the first (unmarked photo), the points are very close together and can be hard to read. If I were able to control the point spacing, I could make it easier to read. Thank you for your time.
