Known for their introductions by prominent figures. The Bible text is just the KJV, but if we could get these introductions in Logos, that would be great. The only one I've read online is Nick Cave's intro to the Gospel of Mark (https://missionhillsla.com/blog/nick-cave-on-mark). Amazing!
They came out in two sets. The description of the First Series (https://www.amazon.com/dp/0802136095):
"The publication of the King James version of the Bible, translated between 1603 and 1611, coincided with an extraordinary flowering of English literature and is universally acknowledged as the greatest influence on English-language literature in history. Now, world-class literary writers introduce the books of the King James Bible in a series of beautifully designed, small-format volumes. The introducers' passionate, provocative, and personal engagements with the spirituality and the language of the text -- Louis de Bernieres on Job, Charles Johnson on Proverbs, Doris Lessing on Ecclesiastes, David Grossman on Exodus -- make the Bible come alive as a stunning work of literature and remind us of its overwhelming contemporary relevance. It is a publishing project that has ignited interest around the world and, upon its U.K. publication, The Guardian proclaimed it 'brilliantly simple ... the Pocket Canons have excited both the literary and the religious worlds.'"
The description of the Second Series (https://www.amazon.com/dp/0802137598):
"The publication of the first series of The Pocket Canons caused an international sensation, generating controversy and garnering headlines all around the world. Now the series continues with a set of ten more books taken from the King James Bible and packaged as individual, beautifully designed paperbacks featuring new introductions by prominent literary figures, from crime fiction author P. D. James to the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama. Engaging, provocative, and eminently readable, The Pocket Canons are more than 'the Word made flash'-they bring a fresh, new approach to some of the world's oldest and greatest works of literature."
