Suggestion for a feature related to the Indexer

Please forgive me if I am not posting this in the correct sub-forum.  Is there a way to disable the Logos indexer from always running in the system tray.?  When I don't want to index, but the program wants me to, I have to make sure I pause it every four hours because that is my only option other than let it index which I don't want to do today.  It comes back to user control and choosing when to index.  Thanks.
