Differentiate between notes and cross-refs

Currently, there is a visual filter to hide/display Footnote indicators in Bible texts. This filter however does not differentiate between translator notes and cross-references. These are two separate categories in my opinion.
When I activate the Show Reading View for example, I'd like to hide the cross-reference indicators to eliminate the distraction but I wouldn't want to miss a translator note showing a literal rendering or something useful.
Even printed Bibles often separate them these days. A footnote can go to the bottom of the page, while cross-refs may be listed in a center or side column. Some editions skip cross-refs altogether while still retaining translator notes. ie. ESV Heirloom Heritage edition.

This affects the Desktop and Web/Mobile Apps also.
