Highlighting and Corresponding Resources

When highlighting verses in Logos, corresponding texts in other resources are also highlighted. This can result in pages and pages of highlighted text, which is not a desired behavior in any circumstance I can think of. It makes researching highlighted text more difficult to read than it ought to be.
As I consider implementing a more complex and detailed highlighting strategy, I hesitate as it would introduce so much highlighted text in related resources that it could easily become a confusing multi-colored mess. I know that using selection would help this issue, but I want to use selected verses, so the highlights appear correctly in all Bibles.
There are some solutions that would resolve this issue:
1) Restrict highlighting to type:Bible. I want these highlights to show up in all Bibles, just not other works referencing these verses.
2) In non-Bible resources that refer to highlighted verses, only highlight the verse references and not the entire text of the related articles.
