I am older than most of your users. That means that when I started doing serious Bible study, I was using the older books that most of your readers are not familiar with. Many of these excellent books have been sitting in community pricing for up to 10 years. It's time to get them moving. Many of them I bid the highest amount possible. Let me pay that if that's what it takes to get them published. After a certain amount of time, just let people pay what they bid if that's what it takes to get something published. Sure, let them know this change in the rules. If it gets things done, everybody will be happy. You should also probably only accept new bids at that point to what the projected winning bids were.
