Receive Powerpoint input devices when not in foreground

We currently run Proclaim and OBS on the same PC. The problem is, we advance our slides with a Logitech Spotlight remote, so if the soundboard person clicks off of Proclaim to change scenes in OBS, we lose the ability to advance our slides - which is obviously bad news.
It would be nice if Proclaim could assign USB devices to itself, to receive their input even when Proclaim is not in the foreground.
