Convert/Edit Selected Text Anchor to Reference

I use multiple platforms. Often, I highlight and take simple notes from from the phone app, then revise and consolidate from the desktop. I often find that I have added these notes/highlights as selected text, when I really want it as a reference. It would be great if we could edit the the anchors to switch it back and forth, and change the text selection, without needing to complete recreate the anchor.
